A.K. Kulshreshth, based in Singapore, (www.akkulshreshth.com) and N. Henaff, based in Nantes (France) are researchers and they promoted Cernunnos as a hobby in 2015. Dr. Suchitra Kataria, also based in Singapore, is Director of Cernunnos Books Pte. Ltd.
Dr. Archana Verma and Dr. Balwant Kaur, both based in Delhi, India, have mentored our Hindi projects.
Archana Verma (1946-2020) obtained an MA with six gold medals from Allahabad University and she holds M.Litt. and Ph.D. degrees from Delhi University. She taught at the Department of Hindi, Miranda House, Delhi University from 1966 to 2011. She co-edited the Hindi literary magazine Hans with Rajendra Yadav from 1986 to 2008. Subsequently, she was associated with the Hindi literary magazine Kathadesh, in which she has regularly authored an acclaimed column, ‘Prasangvash’ (By the Way) for five years. Dr Verma was the author of a young adult novel and two collections each of short stories, poems and literary criticism. She edited the collected works of Rajendra Yadav (in fifteen volumes) and co-edited and co-directed a series of translations titled Hashiye Ulanghti Aurat (Women Crossing Boundaries).
Balwant Kaur, born in Delhi, has taught Hindi at Miranda House, Delhi University, since 2001. She has an M.A. and a Ph.D. in Hindi. She has had several essays, studies and translations published in journals. She is associated in an editorial role with the prestigious Hindi literary magazine Hans, founded by Premchand and revived by Rajendra Yadav. She has edited Rajendra Yadav Rachnaavali (“The Complete Works of Rajendra Yadav”), and five other books and special issues.
Dr. Desirée L. Ward has guided us with developmental editing.Desirée completed her PhD studies in Humanities with an emphasis in Creative Writing, where she learned to examine fiction and prose as if it were a machine, breaking down the parts to study the pieces and learn how they work. She has used this training to teach creative writing since 2006, and has applied it to editing since 2011. Desirée finds great joy in helping writers find their voices and learn to tune their stories so they sing. She has prize-winning short stories and a novel to her credit. She is currently working on a work of interactive fiction. She shares her home in Pflugerville, Texas, USA with her significant other and three cats.
Zoya Chaudhary is our art guru. Zoya moves from making art to illustrations, to designing graphics, to branding all in a day. In her practise all these aspect flow into each other. She thinks being a specialist is boring. She has worked as a visual artist since the 2005 in Mumbai, Delhi and Singapore. Zoya runs a graphic design studio called ‘The Lab’ and owns ‘The East Story’ home accessories brand that carries her illustrative prints.
